Color Love: Persimmon & Sage

We know many brides looking for inspiration right now are planning autumn weddings, and this is a perfect fall color palette: shades of green in mint and sage, natural browns and peaches and bright pops of persimmon. This would be perfect for a rustic outdoor bash!

Jenny created this bouquet to accompany our new favorite color combo, made of Juliet garden roses, Sunset garden roses, peonies, orange spray roses, white ranunculus, cottage yarrow, eucalyptus and pecan leaves. 

Zou bisou bisou!

La Fleur Vintage loves all things French, including the most famous ill-fated queen in history, Marie Antoinette. Not only is she a fascinating historical figure (we highly recommend Antonia Fraser's Marie Antoinette: the Journey if you're interested - it's the book Sofia Coppola used as inspiration for her beautiful 2006 film) but the aesthetics of the time period she lived in are truly a delicious treat for the eyes. We can't all live a lifestyle convenient to wearing panniers several feet wide and teasing our hair to heights capable of supporting miniature ships, so check out our latest photo board for inspiration on how to capture Marie's mise-en-scene without the life-threateningly over-the-top decadence.

Ombre is still big right now, and bridesmaids in varying shades of pink tiered ruffles will be pretty as a picture 4. Feathers, garden roses and peonies make for a dramatic bridal bouquet. 5. Go big or go home: this updo captures Marie's spirit without looking costume-y. 6. Love the combination of traditional patterned dinnerware with the modern flatware and place cards. 7. Pink champagne is a must - up the fizzy fun with cake pops or truffles as an extra treat. 8. This wedding at the Barr Mansion involved clouds and clouds of baby's breath - a flower that sometimes gets a bad rap, but we love the look of it in great abundance. White Patience garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, stock, passion vine, rosemary, and bay laurel make up the bride's bouquet.

Villa Antonia Wedding

Jenny and Brandon's wedding at Villa Antonia was romantic and elegant, with a color scheme of blush, champagne, cream and pale pink.  Their arrangements and bouquets were designed with a luxurious combination of French Ranunculus,  Garden Roses, Peonies, Freesia, Waxflower and English Ivy.

The Secret Garden

Our amazing Summer intern, Abbie, modeled for us in her 1950's vintage wedding dress she wore to her high school prom! Here she is with an all-green bouquet of hydrangea, fern, Bells of Ireland, variegated geranium and more.
